Dennis is a 20 year old writer and humorist originally from Puerto Rico. His loves in life are writing, anime and manga and roleplaying games. He first experienced roleplaying games when he was asked by an internet friend if he wanted to play D&D with a group that would be convening over MSN Messenger. He has been playing roleplaying games online ever since, via chat clients and play-by-post. He won a youth fiction award in high school and likes to think this matters. Since then he has been published in the Open Game Table, works for Nevermet Press, and authors the RPG blog The Spirits of Eden, as well as a “for-fun” fiction blog at amusingfantasy.wordpress.com.

John Payne

Name: John Payne
Alias: sycarion
Location: Omaha, NE, US
Website: www.sycarion.com
John works in IT for a large school district. On any given day, he could be building Slackware-based boxes, Access/Excel development, or troubleshooting PeopleSoft issues. Throughout his career he has enjoyed a diverse employment history. He has been a middle school teacher, a photocopy jockey, a technical writer, database administrator, trainer, and even a door-to-door doughnut salesman. In 2002, John moved away from North Carolina to seek his fortune in Nebraska. Since arriving, he has found his Minnesota Rose and started a family with two wonderful toddlers. John and both children share a rare, unnamed OAV disorder. Both children required nasal surgery to breathe while the oldest is also hard of hearing as a result of this disorder. As a result, John is active in the deaf/hard of hearing community in Nebraska. John started gaming with the Moldvay Basic Set when he was 10. For several years, he played many systems ranging from 2nd Edition D&D to Ars Magica to Champions. He loves to collect indie and esoteric systems, but is especially fond of EABA, D6, and Basic Fantasy. His style of play focuses more on roleplaying and interaction without miniatures.
