Nevermet Press

The Founders

The founders and owners of Nevermet Press are Michael Brewer and Jonathan Jacobs of Mad Brew Labs and The Core Mechanic, respectively.  Michael and Jonathan are both accomplished bloggers and seek to give back to the RPG Blogging community that supported them before they started NMP.

Michael Brewer

Michael has played many roles in life before he arrived at his current career of being a .NET software developer.  He served four honorable years active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps in the infantry and Security Forces before returning home to pursue an undergraduate degree in Media Arts & Sciences with Indiana University’s School of Informatics.

Michael takes a very middle of the road approach when it comes to his preferred play style for roleplaying games.  He tends to mix it up equal parts roleplay, combat, exploring, and socializing.  He gravitates towards the more elaborate and crunchy style rules, but can appreciate the simplicity and convenience of the rules-lite systems. Did we mention that he created Mad Brew Labs, which was nominated for the 2009 Ennies Awards for Best Website?

Michael would also like to mention that melodic death metal, sludge metal, industrial, and murder rock as primary aural influences.  So raise your maloik!

Jonathan Jacobs

Jonathan Jacobs

Jonathan Jacobs

Jonathan has been creating fictional worlds both at and away from the game table for more than nearly thirty years. Gaming at the table may not happen as often as it did when he was in college, but he still manages to enjoy a bi-weekly game with a few friends.

Jonathan’s interest in RPGs and the gaming industry surged in 2008 when he started blogging about games on his blog, The Core Mechanic. Not long after starting TCM, he started the Open Game Table project, a semi-annual anthology of roleplaying game blogs. The first volume of Open Game Table was published in May 2009, and provided the inertia to go forward and start Nevermet Press.
