On Friday I wrote about the ups and downs of Nevermet Press in 2011 – now it’s time to look ahead into the new year that is upon us. What can we expect from Nevermet Press this year? Well, for one I’m going to be more conservative (read:less ambitious) so that everyone’s expectations can be in check. As for specific projects – it’s very reasonable that you will see the following coming your way.
Stories in the Ether in Print
After a full year of Stories in the Ether, my plan has always been to wrap up the first four issues of the ePUB and publish a collected anthology of the entire year. It will be a big-book with over 50 stories and dozens of full-color illustrations. If everything goes as planned – it should be a gorgeous book chock full of amazing fiction. Some people have asked if I’ll be using Kickstarter at all to launch this step in the Stories in the Ether project, and I’m not sure yet if that’s the right approach to take. So, the jury is out so to speak.
Our First Full-Length Novel
I’ve been editing a novel by author Michael Manogue for the last few months and I plan on publishing his novel in 2012. I can’t say much more about this other than it involves werewolves and a German squad lost behind Russian enemy lines during WWII. It’s a great story – and I’m sure everyone here who reads our site will enjoy it.
Pathfinder Steampunk PDFs
As a lead up to active development of Loaerth & Feywyrd, we’ll be releasing a few stand-alone Pathfinder RPG supplements as a prelude. The series, tentatively titled “The Steampunk Folio”, aims to provide steampunk elements, monsters, and NPCs for anyone to drop into their existing campaign. Artist Rob Torno has already produced a collection of undead creatures for our first release “The Steampunk Folio : Undead”. His art is shown above—it’s awesomesauce. The game development aspects are being done my yours truly and Jerall Toi. The first supplement will be available sometime in February.
That’s about it. Of course, I’ll be contributing to the blog on a regular basis and trying to get contributions from the community as well. Keeping a mix of stories and games is our niche, so that will continue to be the focus moving forward.
So, with that – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It’s going to be a great year, even if it ends on December 21st. Let’s see what we can accomplish before then!
