Nevermet Press is Reborn

Greetings!

After an amazing seven months here at Nevermet Press, we have decided to change things up a bit. Our blog has been too silent, and we have honestly not been living up to our commitment for community engagement. All this, yet behind the scenes in our Google development group – the emails have been steadily flowing for months (over 2000 emails in all). After all, our tag-line is “instant community driven gaming content” and we have no plans to change that.

So, starting this week, you’ll begin to see much more traffic associated with the Nevermet Press blog. Our goal is to get your participation in the projects we are working on; to get your feedback on the gaming content we are pouring our hearts and minds into. Ultimately, we want to make Nevermet Press accessible and to serve the community as a place where gamers and game designers can come together to make great role playing games together.

So, as with all paradigm shifts, things will likely be a bit bumpy around here for the time being. All that we ask is to bear with us, and hold on tight for the ride.

So, what’s next?

In the short term, you’ll begin to see development journal style articles written by our content developers (that’s NMP lingo for writers and artists alike). They’ll be rough drafts of content we are developing as a group, and they will likely be asking for (if not expecting) your feedback. So speak up, jump in, and let us know what you think. That is, after all, the whole point of  our mission here at Nevermet Press!

In the longer term, you begin to see pieces of Shayakand, a new neo-indian Pathfinder RPG campaign setting from John Payne. We’ll also be developing Loaerth & Feywyrd, a fantasy steampunk campaign setting for use with 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. And finally, from the mind of Michael Brewer, we’ll bring you Geheimkrieg – an alternate history of Earth that mixes supernatural horror with gritty realism in the years following World War II. Geheheimkrieg will be using the Mutants & Masterminds role playing game. The best part is that we’ll be developing these settings out in the open, with the community’s input and participation! So, stayed tuned for what’s coming down the pipe!

On a more personal note: I’m looking forward to taking what I’ve learned in the last two years about the table top gaming industry, blogging, publishing, and roleplaying games in general and (hopefully) using it to help Nevermet Press blossom into a true crowd-sourced publishing company.

See you on the other side.

– Jonathan

Perhaps we should reintroduce the Uncle Sam image for this since we’re asking for the public’s help. :)
