  • The city state of Corwyn lies in one of the farther reaches of the more civilized territories on a high plain, neatly bordered by forests and mountains to the South and East and by a modest river to the West. Falling outside of the region's major trade routes, inter-city trade and communication between Corwyn and the larger surrounding cities has dwindled - though the quiet, peaceful region remains on good terms with each of its neighbors. Nearly a decade ago, a mysterious blight swept through the high plains, all but destroying the harvest of the local farmers on which the area so heavily relied for its food supply.
